Privacy Policy

Aldea is a voice companion for older adults, built by AtaForge Inc. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time. This policy explains what we hold and why.
Who is responsible
The data controller is AtaForge Inc. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@ataforge.com.
What we collect
- Account identity. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a stable identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email. We do not receive or store your Apple/Google password.
- Family contacts. Names and contact details you add so trusted people can be reached — used only to send the alerts you set up.
- Reminders & check-ins. The reminders you create and your check-in responses, so the app can remind you and, with consent, notify family.
- Conversations. What you say to the companion, to hold a coherent conversation and improve safety handling.
- Technical data. Device push token, approximate region and IP at sign-up (for security and abuse prevention), and minimal service logs.
How we use it
- To provide the companion, reminders, check-ins, and family alerts.
- To keep the account secure and prevent abuse.
- To run the narrow emergency reflex that can direct you to call for help.
Aldea is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, triage, or give medical advice. For any health concern it redirects you to your own doctor.
AI processing
Conversation messages are sent to our language-model provider to generate a response. They are processed to serve your request and are not used to train third-party models. Safety checks run around every response.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Aldea (hosting, push notifications, the AI provider, and app-store billing for family subscriptions), each bound to protect it, and where the law requires.
Retention
We keep data only while your account is active. When you delete your account, the associated data is erased immediately; residual copies in backups are overwritten within a short retention window.
Your rights (GDPR)

- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for family notifications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children
Aldea is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email where appropriate, with a new “last updated” date above.
